Well I would just like to say Grumpy/Little boy one of our adoptive cats finally said his last goodbyes.  He managed to live months longer then what the vets gave him and actually lived to be 14months old, even though he still appeared to only look like he was a 3month old kitten.

Grumpy a.k.a Little Boy was a stray kitten found by my husband cold wet and drenched in the rain.  My husband picked him up and brought him home.  He had appeared normal at first until we had to make many trips to the vet to get him sterilized many times he was rejected for being too young or too small.  During this time he started to injure himself easily and we soon noticed he wasn't able to jump from things, like off a small box and being able to land on his feet.  A vet finally looked him over and diagnosed him with stunted growth, collapsed spinal cord, muscular atrophy and a possible nerves system problem.  She told us alone with just muscular atrophy he wont survive that long maybe a few months because he will only keep degenerating and hurting himself by doing normal stuff cats do.

My husband and I tried our best to make sure to give him a happy life for however long that would be, we pampered him quiet a bit and our other adopted cat Miu Miu even became his host mother.  She treated him just like one of her own kittens even though she can never have kittens due to being sterilized.  Grumpy became part of the family and was always happy, always loved attention and just cuddling with anyone he was quiet and extremely friendly to any stranger or new cat we had to house for short periods of time.  He was always willing to make a friend first then to make enemies and let everyone know its his house.

Grumpy got to the point where he was improving health wise, vets were pretty shocked but I guess we boost him up on enough extra dosages of vitamins besides what food is able to give that he was able to improve his condition and sub stain a decent health.  

Though towards the end of the year we had to make a trip back to the USA to visit my family after 2 years of absence, and knowing my grandpa was recovering from cancer I wanted to be sure to see everyone.  During this time we weren't able to make sure Grumpy was getting enough food, getting plenty of water, or making sure he was pooping daily regardless we did have him and Miu Miu both being watched after.  

Once we returned we noticed his health decreased dramatically, he wasn't even wanting to intake any water we had to start bottle feeding him water again.  Some days he refused to eat and he wasn't able to poop for weeks at a time.  He wasn't his cheerful self anymore and just sat in a box every time we tried to get him to play a bit, he was even resistant to Miu Miu trying to play with him.  We tried everything, unfortunately we did not have the money due to our own baby on the way to afford to take him to the vet to see what was going on.  Within months it just got worst and worst, one morning I woke up to see his cage with blood all over in it.  At first we thought "oh no" another case of kidney failure like we had on a community cat case before.  After a second day of him making small puddles of blood we took him into the vet.  His bladder was blocked and swelled up to the size of a fist, his muscular atrophy had set in so much to the point where he was all skin and bones regardless he was eating everyday.  She told us hes crying all the time now due to being in so much pain, he wasn't able to pee anymore only blood would come out due to the blockage.  Next day we called SPCA to have him put to sleep, we couldn't see him suffering anymore and from what the vet told us there was no cure. Even if he had surgery to unblock his bladder with his given condition and already health problems the block bladder will only reoccur.

We all hope that he was happy in the time he was alive and that he enjoyed what we were able to provide for him, all of us are sad he had to go so soon but he wont be forgotten that's for sure.

Okay the baby has been not stop kicking me, so it seems.  Its almost like he's having a kung fu match in my stomach to the point where its hard to focus on anything haha.  He tends to do it often when I am sitting down, so unless I figure out a way to stand and draw at the same time I'm going to have one hell of a time trying to focus on producing more work.  It's pretty weird knowing there is a living being inside of me, sometimes reminds me of those facehuggers in AvP @___@;  yes I just compared my child to a facehugger, but hey its the truth.  Sometimes I imagine just having a full out fist just punch through my stomach not to the point of breaking out but just where I can see a visible fist showing through, really creepy haha.  My dreams can be pretty vivid lately which is actually common amongst pregnant women.
